ONLINE REGISTRATION

Online registration is at go-greenevents.com. See the box labeled ENTRY FEES on this page for a complete listing of entry fees/deadlines. Pricing shown is the total cost including service charges. Please don’t hesitate to contact Jeff at support@go-greenevents.com with your inquiries or if you experience any problems with online registration.

MAIL-IN REGISTRATION

Mail-in registration will be available for a limited time only. Sorry, EARLY BIRD pricing is not available to mail-in registrants. Mail-in entries also include an additional fee to cover handling, data entry and forensic analysis of illegible handwriting.

LATE REGISTRATION

If you don’t wish to register online or by mail or if you miss the Oct. 26 deadline, you may register for any race at the EXPO on Friday, Oct. 28, 2011 from Noon to 8:00pm.

REGISTRATION POLICY

The race caps for the Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K are 1500, 2500, and 2500 runners, respectively. The Li’l Punkin Kids Run does not have a race cap. Notice will be given ON THIS WEBSITE if the race cap is exceeded for any given race and registration is closed for any reason. We do not give refunds, but we do give rain checks for special cases if you contact the race director. Also, SRF is one of the few races that allows race transfers and substitutions which you can do yourself online. THE EVENT WILL BE HELD RAIN OR SHINE. NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION.

SPECIAL DISCOUNTS

SRF provides a huge variety of special discounts. We have EARLY BIRD discounts, package and training deals, promotions like “Join the Club”, and group discounts. In most cases, but not all, discounts may be combined to bring your race fee down to an amazingly low number. Group discounts and some promotional discounts will require entering a secret code on the online registration form. Obtain your secret code as follows.

SPINX RUN FEST EXPO

The EXPO will be held at Greenville Drive Stadium on Friday, Oct. 28, 2011 from Noon to 8pm. Vendors will be displaying a variety of products and services catering to runners and multi-sport athletes. In addition to great promotions and discounts from vendors, there will be door prizes and giveaways. Jeff Galloway will be there to teach a running school, sign books, answer questions and hang out with his friends, which includes everybody.

PACKET PICK UP

Packet pick up will be at the Expo on Friday, Oct. 28, 2011 from Noon to 8pm. Packets may also be picked up at the Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 29 from 6am to 8am. For convenience, you may have someone else pick up your packet for you but the race organizers are not responsible for any packets lost after they are picked up. PACKETS WILL NOT BE MAILED OUT.

PARKING

There is ample parking around the stadium for the EXPO and packet pick up on Oct. 28. Parking on race day takes up more space (for more information CLICK HERE).

RACE TIMING

Timing for the marathon, half marathon, and 5K will be provided by First Place Events using bib mounted sensors. On the race courses, split clocks will be installed every mile for the 5K, and at EVERY EVEN NUMBERED MILE MARKER (2, 4, 6, 8, etc.) on the marathon and half marathon courses. The marathon will also have a split clock at the halfway point.

RESULTS

Race results will be posted in a designated area of the stadium following each race. Official results will be posted ON THIS WEBSITE as soon as they become available.

AWARDS

Li’l Punkin finisher medals will be given out at the finish line. Kids’ Half Marathon certificates and book bags will be given to the respective teachers to present to students at a later time. Awards for the 5K, Half Marathon, and Marathon will be presented about 10:15am, 11:15am, and 12:15pm, respectively, at the awards stage. Awards will be given to the top 3 Male & Female Overall, Masters, and Grandmasters. Age group awards will be be given to the top 3 Male & Female finishers in the following groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, and 75+. The 5K race will also include the 9-under category. ALL AWARDS WILL BE DETERMINED BY GUN TIME.

Marathon Runners receive a Tech Shirt, Logo Sport Towel, and Finishers Medal. Half marathon runners receive a Tech Shirt and Finishers Medal. Personal Record Setters and 5-year Vets get handsome accessory medals to go on their finisher medals. 5K participants receive a jet black tech shirt emblazoned with the bright Big Punkin logo. Li’l Punkin runners get colorful finisher medals, and Kids HM finishers get medals, certificates, and custom book bags. Awards for the marathon, HM and 5K will be unique and collectable. Big Punkin Costume Contest awards will be unique, collectable and strange. The Marathon and Half courses will be well stocked with water, gatorade, and energy gels. The stadium will be well stocked with sandwiches, cookies, fruit, yogurt parfaits, soft drinks and water. A finish line party with beer will be available in a designated area of the stadium.

SPINX MARATHON

Brand new course! The marathon is heading north to Furman, Green Valley and TR. Over 15 miles of the course are along the Swamp Rabbit Trail. The remaining miles are on city roads, country roads and campus roads (Furman). The race starts and finishes at Fluor Field. The course will remain open 6 hours.

RUN TOWN USA! HALF MARATHON

Except for the name and a few minor changes to the course, the HM is generally the same as last year. The route consists of scenic loop through the city of Greenville on streets and paved trails. The terrain is rolling with a few short steep hills. The race starts and finishes at Fluor Field. The course will remain open 4 hours.

BIG PUNKIN 5K RACE/WALK

Brand new course - LESS HILLY. The route is the same as the marathon and HM up to mile 1.5, then takes a shortcut on the SRT back to the stadium. The course will remain open 1.5 hours.

LI’L PUNKIN KIDS RUN (1 mile)

This is a fun run and (safe) costumes are encouraged. The course is shorter and faster than last year, ending again on Fluor Field. Sorry, it will not be timed. The course will stay open 30 minutes.
