Thanks to all the early registrants who participated in the Early Bird Special promotion - the numbers are in and we’re very pleased with the results. As of July 2, 2010, we have 389 marathon entries. The breakdown for women/men is 151 and 238, respectively. We have 26 States and 3 Countries represented. In the “States” race, SC has the big lead with 259 entries. NC is second with 38 and GA is third with 24. In the international scene, we have the Netherlands and Iraq (for the Iraq rep, we took the liberty of including Pat Peregoy who is currently deployed there with the US Air Force). The early bird has flown away, but she’ll be back next year...
