Can I register by mail or in person?

We strongly encourage online registration, and this is the only way to take advantage of the Early Bird Specials and Package Deals. We suggest finding a friend who can register you online if you can’t do it yourself. If you must register by mail, we will make paper entries available for download around the first of May. The only way to register in person is at EXPO/Packet Pick Up on Oct. 28.

Can I switch races, give my entry to another person, or get a refund?

Spinx Run Fest allows race transfers (switching races) and substitutions (giving your race number to another person). These options are available as online transactions at go-greenevents.com. There is a fee for these services. SRF does not give refunds but we do give rain checks. If you get injured or have to miss the race due to circumstances beyond your control, we’ll give you a free entry for next year’s race. Please contact the race director if you need a rain check.

Can I register on race day?

NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION. Late registration closes Friday, Oct. 28 at 8PM.

Is discounted Group Registration available?

Spinx Run Fest offers discounts to running groups with 15 or more runners. You must contact the race director to set this up for your group. Also, if you join the Greenville Track Club you will receive a $5 discount on Spinx Run Fest and all other GTC events.

Do I need to register for the Kids’ Marathon if I’m running with my child?

No, only your child needs to be registered.

Do I need to register my child for the 5K if I want to take her/him with me?

When will the results be posted?

Race results will be posted in a designated area of the stadium following each race. Official results will be posted ON THIS WEBSITE as soon as they become available.

Who do I talk to if I have a question or issue about my race time?

The race director is sleep deprived/unintelligible at the race, and the timing company has all they can handle. Your best option is to check the official results once they are posted on this website. Often, the mistakes have been corrected by then. If a problem still exists, please contact Scott with the race timing company at: scott@firstplaceevents.com

When will the awards be given out?

QUESTIONS

Where are the facilities?

Greenville Drive Stadium has restrooms a-plenty. We will also have portable toilets near the race start and on the course (see below).

How many aid stations will there be and what will you have at them?

We will have 14 aid stations for the marathon, 6 aid stations for the HM, and one for the 5K. All stations will have water and Gatorade. Every other station will have portable toilets. We will have energy gel at 3 stations on the marathon course.

What if I or someone else needs medical attention on the course?

The team leader at each aid station, course monitors, and police are instructed to call 911 if urgent medical attention is needed. On the marathon, we will have EMTs patrolling the Swamp Rabbit Trail on bikes and a medical tent at mile 18. In the stadium, we will have a medical tent at the finish line and EMTs on standby.

Will the race courses be closed to traffic?

There will be traffic. We will set up cones to provide a “running lane” on public roads, the police will control major intersections and we will have volunteers monitoring traffic at other places. Ultimately, it is the runners’ responsibility to keep alert and stay out of harm’s way.

How long will the race courses remain open?

The 5K, Half Marathon, and Marathon courses will remain open for 1.5 hours, 4 hours, and 6 hours, respectively. Police may stop controlling the major intersections before the closure time. After closure, any runners remaining on the race courses are on their own.

RACE COURSE

If you have to cancel the event, will you offer a refund?

If we have to cancel on account of dangerous weather conditions, natural disasters, emergencies, or other safety issues, we will not give refunds but will offer discounts for next year’s race.

Can I run with earphones?

We don’t prohibit the wearing of earphones but we strongly discourage it since earphones can prevent you from hearing other runners, volunteers, officials, police and (most importantly) traffic.

Can I run with a baby jogger? Can I walk with a baby stroller?

Running with a baby jogger is prohibited in all races. Walking with a baby stroller is permitted in the 5K only. We ask that you start in the back of the 5K race with others intending to walk the course.

Can I run with my dog? Can I bring a pet inside the stadium?

No dogs or pets are allowed on the race courses or in the stadium.
